Abstract


According to The Archives of Azerbaijan Archives: The Persecution of Armenians in Baku and Yerevan Between 1918-1920
19th century late 20th century Baku, which was one of the old and beautiful cities of Azerbaijan at the beginning, became the biggest industrial center of the Caucasus. Baku oil attracted the attention of the whole world, especially Russia. So immediately after the Bolshevik conflict took place in Petrograd (Petersburg), Lenin decided to turn Baku into the focus of the Caucasus Bolsheviks and appointed Armenian Stepan Shaumyan as the extraordinary commissioner of the Caucasus in December 1917. . Until September 1918, Baku was captured by the Armenians. The purpose of the Armenians to carry out this operation was the Muslim massacre in March, to clear Baku from the local people, to claim its resources, and finally to declare this Azerbaijani city as Armenian land. The Armenians started the genocide operation not only in Baku but also in Yerevan and Kars. In the statement to be presented, in the light of the Azerbaijani Archive documents, the Armenian Archive of the Armenians in Kars, Yerevan and Baku in 1918 1920, the Archives of the Republic of Azerbaijan, memoirs, official reports. and will be evaluated in the light of other relevant sources. Documents in the Azerbaijan State Archive were sent to the Prime Ministry Republic Archive in 2016. The documents are written in Russian and catalog numbers are given again in the republic archive. In our report, we tried to explain the subject by including the documents related to the massacre in Baku
