A View upon Political Events before the Islamic Revolution in Iran “White Revolution and Lale Square Massacre”
During the 20th century, there were events that caused great political manoeuvres in the world. These are the events that have changed the world's economic, military, cultural art and boundaries, altogether. The occurrence of these events evoked other significant processes such as Balkan Wars (1912-1913), World War I (1914-1918), 1917 Bolshevik Revolution, 1929 World Economic Crisis, World War II (1939-1945), Chinese Cultural Revolution (1949), US-USSR Cold War, the intervention of the USSR to Afghanistan (1979-1989), the Islamic Revolution of Iran (1979,) and the collapse of the USSR in 1991. While these are experienced in the world, the most fundamental link of the chain in the Middle East is the Islamic Revolution of Iran. As to search Islamic Revolution, the incident that led to transform it as a public campaign and perhaps caused the development of revolution to occur so early is the Lale Square Massacre. In this study, Lale Square Massacre, its pre and post conditions, which had an important place for Iran and Middle East history, were handled by utilizing from document analysis of qualitative research methods. Because the Islamic State of Iran bordering with Turkey, is an indispensable strategic partner and a significant actor for Turkey and this region. And it is also a region and district to be searched and informed because of the cultural unity dating back. In addition, various sources related to the Iranian Revolution were examined and the processes leading to the Lale Square Massacre were investigated. There are books, journals, theses, newspapers and documentaries among the sources studied. Thus, this study, which was conducted as a result of the sources examined, was tried to be written in an objective way.
