Abstract
The Second Person Point of View in Tarik Dursun K.’S Stories: “You” (Singular / Plural) Language
Tarık Dursun K., one of the most significant names of Turkish literature, was an important breath of fresh air for Turkish story writing as of 1950s. The author, who tries different narration styles in his stories by keeping up with the new aesthetical transformation of modernism, stands out with the way he places second person point of view ?rare in Turkish literature? in the world of story. In this study, it is aimed to draw a general schema of the second person point of view with the most stunning examples taken from the author’s stories, and by means of the questions related to why this point of view is chosen by the author and what kind of structure is used to include it. Thus, an opportunity is created both to introduce the second person point of view as a concept and to interpret the “you (singular/plural)” language in Tarık Dursun K.’s stories.
