One of the political cornerstones in Turkish history is the September 12 Coup in 1980. The ongoing impact of the implementation of martial law in the years 1980-1983, has had a direct impact on Turkey in the last 38 years. In fact, the coup led to several changes in different fields in Turkey. One of them is surely the fields of press and art. The decisions of the military government directed the activities of the institutions related to press, art and culture. Primarily the new press laws and the new arrangements related to cinema, theatre and opera stopped activities of all those people who engaged in these fields, closed the institutions and blocked several operations. In addition, for many years due to press censorship and bans and artistic life is not deviate from the boundaries drawn by the coup. The aim of our study was to press the 1980 military coup three years of martial arts practice and examine the effects of life.
