Abstract


An Examination of the Kaygum Miftakov's Kirghiz Folk Literature Review Methods
The first studies on the compilation and examination of the products of the oral tradition of the Turkish boilers living in the Turkistan in the 19th and 20th centuries the tsarism started in the Russian era and continued with the establishment of the USSR. The work of compiling and examining the folklore products of the Kyrgyz Turks, one of the Turkish seas living in the region, was carried out by various scientists and researchers in the same period. In the Soviet-era Kirghiz folklore researches, the focus was on compilation activities. Kayum Miftakov, known for his research in this period, is a prominent researcher who has compiled various oral literary works and has contributed works on various folklore issues. One of the works that Miftakov received was the work titled "Methods of Compiling Kyrgyz Folk Literature", which explains the methods to be used in compilation activities and shows the principles that compilers should follow. This work, which is preserved in the Kyrgyz Science Academy's Handwriting section today, has a very strict design because it is the first work written in its field. In this context, Kayum Miftakov will be informed about his life, compilation activities and will try to examine his method of compiling Kyrgyz Folk Literature, which includes methods and principles to be used in compilation activities
