The Struggle of Crimean Tatars for Returning Homeland as a Public Disobedience Sample and Mustafa Cemiloğlu
Humans’ reactions againts the concept of injustice have always been distinctive. Among these reactions, the passive resistance aims to suppress and extinguish the injustice by trying to draw public attention and notice of the authorities through peaceful fighting methods. Passive resistance, which is also known as “public disobedience” in the literature, is a non-violent, predictable overt and publicly attendable resistance metdod against any and all injustice that aims to create public awareness on a singular unjustifiable situation without targeting the system as a whole. Within the scope of public disobedience the purpose of this article is to examine the non-violent opposition of Crimean Tatars under the leadership of Mustafa Cemiloglu, who were deprived of all citizenship rihgts and exiled from their homeland in just one night.
