Subjectivity Problems in Historical Biography
The main problem of the biographer is that he will pass judgement about a person who has become an object of history and lacks the means to defend himself. In the writing of biographies, which is seen as one of the most open areas of subjectivity in history, it cannot be denied that feelings of the biographer show an unwilling affinity for the person he wrote about. In this situation the biography is pushed into a positive or favorite direction when writing about the person. In the course of a scientific biography writing, the biographer can carry out objectivity by avoiding information without reference and adopting the principle of not engaging in psychological analysis and personal covenants. When using private documents and letters and when the right words are transferred and maintained one gets as far away from subjectivity as possible. The determination of the main reason for becoming subjective when writing the history of an individual person, the most ancient of history writing, and how to be successful to avoid this situation, is a controversial issue in the philosophy of history. Our work will, in general, be specific to what is meant by the notions of objectivity-subjectivity, in particular in the construction of history and in its work field of biography writing and determine what the conditions that influences the formation of the so-called subjectivity are.
