Mehmet Müezzinovic was born in Bosnia on julay 29, 1913. In addition to religious education, he learned Turkish, Arabic and Farsi from private teachers. The researcher who performs various duties in Bosnia is considered as the sole representative of the Ottoman epigraphic school. His work named Islamska Epigrafika u Bosni i Hercegovini, composed of three volumes, is the most important proof of his proper fame on this subject. The first volume of the work contains epigraphs in Sarajevo. The second volume contains Islamic epigraphic studies of Eastern and Central Bosnia. The third volume includes epigraphs in the Western Bosnia and Herzegovina territories. The book includes original forms in Ottoman Turkish and Bosnian translations of about 1500 epigraphs and it also includes partly originals and translations of nearly 1800 epigraphs.
